Low Back Useful Exercises

Lower trunk rotation stretch for lower back stiffness.

This lying rotation stretch helps you practice gentle lower back movement. Keep the upper body quiet and roll the knees slowly.

PositionLying on back
Hold20 seconds
Repeat3 each side

How to do it

  1. Lie on your back with knees together and bent.
  2. Slowly roll your knees to one side while keeping your upper trunk still.
  3. Hold for 20 seconds.
  4. Repeat 3 times on each side.

Comfort tips

Move slowly and stay inside a comfortable range. If the knees do not reach far, that is fine. The goal is gentle movement, not forcing the stretch.

Stop if rotation increases pain, causes numbness, or feels unsafe.
